Obituary
Loretta Kay Byars, 73, of Lincoln, Ar. Went to be with the lord on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 , at her home. She was born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 9th, 1951.
Loretta was the 5th of 10 children born to George Joseph Gainor & Jessie Rose Bemis of Terre Haute, Indiana. Loretta was married to her husband Don Byars, of Lincoln in 1969 in Vigo County Indiana. The couple spent 55 years together traveling the world and raising their family. Loretta was known for her amazing spirit, her years as an office manager and entrepreneur, a loving mother and "nana" to all. Loretta was a true patriot and driven to support local charities and various children organizations. She loved butterflies, roses, watching Irish river dancing, card games and great music. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.
She is proceeded in death by both of her parents , Jessie Rose Bemis and George Joseph Gainor. Sisters Anne Gainor, Mary Carlson, Barbara Rainbolt, and Theresa Gainor ; two brothers Leo Gainor, And Richard Gainor ; all of Terre Haute, Indiana. Sue Heisler (mother-in-law, Lincoln), Dennis Byars (brother-in-law , Lincoln), David Dodd (brother-in-law, Prairie Grove)
Survivors include husband Don Byars , one daughter Terri Rae Boyd and husband Tyrell Boyd ; all of Lincoln, Ar. Two granddaughters Starla Lockman and husband Dom Lockman of Farmington, Krista Dersam and husband Cory Dersam of Prairie Grove. Also "nana the great" to seven great grandchildren. Brothers George Gainor, James Gainor, Patrick Gainor , their spouses. Dena Dodd (sister in law, Prairie Grove) and several nieces and nephews.
