Mommy Ann was an amazing woman. One of my favorite memories was sitting out on her back porch and snapping green beans or sugar snap peas. I can't remember which it was exactly but I got to spend some rare one on one time with her while doing that. It turned into a game to see how fast I could fill my little bucket while snapping them into the correct size. I know she is happy now with granddad after being apart from him for many years. I also know we will see her again one day. Hugs to all her family that's missing her right now.

To Ronnie and Johnny. I am so sorry to read about your Mother. I know you were close and loved her dearly. It was so nice to see her last summer. I stopped by her house and she was so nice. We talked about old times and how she loved her children. Wow, what a Mom she must have been. You will see her and your Dad again some day in Heaven. I will be thinking of your hole family for ever. I love you all very much. Your Friend, Ricky McGaughy

One time Ann, mom and I went to JC Penney to look at shoes. Ann tried on several styles and decided to buy a pair, but she could only find one shoe. We searched for several minutes, looked on and under tables, and mom was just leaving to get a salesperson when Ann froze and whispered “Stop! Stop, STOP! …It’s on my foot!” She was wearing one new shoe and one old shoe. So then we had to look for the other old shoe. Good times. My life was better by knowing her. Can’t wait to see her again.

Lady Ann was always so very kind, gentle, sweet and beautiful. Her spirit was always gentleness and calmness. Always understanding when I was somehow involved in some kind of mischief with her boys. I know and love the entire family. She is a wonderful example of being a Christian to her bones. Thank God, she loved me enough to pray for me along with all of her children. I am certain it helped to keep me safe. It was 7th grade, my first day at school, when my momma met Rusty's momma and she introduced me to him. My heart goes out to the entire family. Your momma was loved. God Bless them and take care of Lady Ann.
