Obituary

Loren Ray Phillips, 88, of Harrison, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, at The Springs at Mt. Vista in Harrison.

He was born May 27, 1933, at Bentonville to Raymond M. and Lena Winn Phillips. He married Miss Ada June Holland on March 27, 1957, at Fayetteville. He was a United States Army veteran and retired from Arkansas Western Gas Company after 35 years of service, retiring as a district superintendent. He was a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, fishing, and the Arkansas Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Sondra Smith; and two sisters, Maxine Grammar and Janelle Stephens.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Susie Stewart of Farmington; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Mark Reed of Harrison; son-in-law, Neil Smith of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Angie (Cory) Kichline of Fayetteville, Misty (Tyler) Morrow of Farmington, Dustin (Stacey) Stewart of Farmington, Schara Baldridge of Bentonville, and Madison Reed of Harrison; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother and sister-in-law, Loy W. and Duckie Phillips of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Anne (Harold) Smith of Prairie Grove; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Holt Memorial Chapel with Bro. Glenn Crenshaw officiating. There will be a committal service at 3 p.m. at Farmington Cemetery in Farmington, under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.

Active pallbearers will be Dustin Stewart, Dallas Morrow, Ezra Kichline, Avery Kichline, Ethan Skelton, and Evan Skelton. Honorary pallbearers will be the Joy Sunday School Class at Eagle Heights Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday at Holt Memorial Chapel.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Harrison Dialysis, The Springs at Mt. Vista, and Shannon Downes.
