Obituary

Charlene Kay Reed, 52, a resident of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 in Fayetteville. She was born April 13, 1970 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the daughter of Donald Bruce and Martha Jane (Catlet) Evans.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen Reed; two daughters Melissa Cooper and husband William and Alice Reed; one son, Charles Jackson; two brothers, Gerald Evans and Dean Evans; three grandchildren, Myra Cooper, Elizabeth Cooper and Kenneth Cooper.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 - 3:00 PM at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.

I have known Charlene 20 years and we have gone to Bible studies, church services and church events, including Trunk or Treat and much more together. We could go weeks without talking and still pick back up where we were. I will miss her. You couldn’t help but love her! We prayed salvation prayer together, she has a humble heart. But I truly believed she prayed this with others also. A part of me is jealous that she will be able to talk to Lloyd and I can’t. But I thank God, she is! I love you Charlene!

My prayers and thoughts to the family. I enjoyed working with Charlene for some 15 years. I admired her spunk and tenacity. She worked hard and had a fierce love for her children and grandchildren. I considered her my friend and am blessed to have known her. She will truly be missed!
