Diana "Diane" Dale Cornett, 58, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 27, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri, Diane was the cherished daughter of Johnny Dale Woody and Wilma Lea McKinney. Though her journey began in Missouri, she spent her formative years growing up in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and the Van Buren, Arkansas area, later graduating from Van Buren High School in 1986.
At the age of 19, Diane experienced one of life's greatest blessings when she welcomed her beloved son, Joe Race Crabtree, into the world. In 1994, she married the love of her life and husband of 32 years, Tim Cornett. Together, Diane and Tim built a beautiful life, devoted to raising their four children. Early in their marriage, they shared a love for riding their trike motorcycle with their friends Chris and Tammy Cook. As the years passed, that adventure transitioned into the pure joy of family life, and she truly loved every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Beyond her human family, Diane’s heart belonged to her animals. She was a passionate, lifelong dog lover who found immense joy in the company of her many canine companions over the years. Her compassion extended far beyond her own home; Diane was a dedicated supporter of local animals, regularly donating much-needed supplies to various animal shelters throughout the Northwest Arkansas area.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Dale Woody, and her beloved son, Joe Race Crabtree.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Tim Cornett, of the home; her mother, Wilma McKinney of Spiro, Oklahoma; her brother, Tim Woody of Grove, Oklahoma; her daughter, Madison and husband Tyler, along with their children Evan, Chandler, Theodore, and Sloane, all of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; her daughter, Lindsey Paige Hummingbird of Stilwell, Oklahoma; her daughter, Kaylan Cornett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her granddaughters, Ryley Hummingbird and Reece Hummingbird, both of Stilwell, Oklahoma; her cherished dogs, Dewey and Ellie; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Bethesda Cemetery near Morrow, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you make a donation in Diane's honor to your local animal shelter to carry on her legacy of love for animals.
