Obituary

Neal Ambrose Reed, 86, a resident of Morrow, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 3, 2026, at his home. He was born August 27, 1939, in Lincoln, Arkansas, the son of Orville Troy Reed and Marie Latta Reed.

Neal accepted Jesus as his Savior around the age of 16. He spent his life serving the Lord. Neal was the owner of Morrow Cash Store for over 50 years and ran a successful plumbing business. Neal was instrumental in the founding of Teen Challenge in Morrow, Arkansas. He went on numerous mission trips to Old Mexico, sharing his faith and serving others. He also helped build many churches on the Navajo Reservation, leaving a lasting impact on the communities he served.

Neal is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Donald, and Tommy; his sisters, Betty Jo, Datha, and Zelta.

He is survived by his wife, Irmalee, of 65 years; his three sons, Paul Don, and wife Jamie of Morrow; Clark and wife Jackie of Morrow; and Tim and wife Charla of Siloam Springs.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christy Roach and husband Jason, Carrie Merrill and husband Shane, Donald and wife Brandy, Nicole Scott and husband Kyle, Matt and wife Leslie, Randi Jo and husband Chase, and Cody Reed; 18 great-grandchildren; his brother, Ronald Reed of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sister, Brenda Reed of Prairie Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Teen Challenge, P.O. Box 20, Morrow, Arkansas 72749.

My father Bruce Smith worked for Neal at the store as a teenager. Every time we went to Morrow Dad would talk about it. Dad passed August 1, 2021. They're having a reunion in heaven today!

Had a couple trips to Mexico with Neal. On the flight back home Neal & another preacher on the flight I laughed so much I thought I might die. Just a fun Christian man. Thinking about Ermilee & his boys & families. May God Bless all!

I am very sorry to hear this.

Neal and I both went to Tulsa after high school to work.

We lived in the same boarding house there for several weeks.

We had some good times together.

Neal was a wonderful Christian man.
