George Thomas Henson Sr.
Age 79, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born February 20, 1941 in Gracemont, Oklahoma, the son of Oscar Lee and Norma (Richardson) Henson.
He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springdale, Arkansas, and served in the United States Army
He was preceded in death by his wife Yanula Henson-De Zepeda; three infant daughters; his parents, two sisters Velma Evans and Iva Owens; three brothers Johnny Ray Henson, Doresy Henson and Billy Jo Henson;
Survivors include his two sons George T. Henson II of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Oscar Henson and his wife Lanette of Springdale, Arkansas; three brothers Oscar Lee Henson Jr. of Fritch, Texas, Bud Henson of LaRussell, Missouri, and Roger Henson of Sarcoxie, Missouri; three sisters Carolyn Bradley of Ontario, California, Darlene McClelland of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and Sharon Gilmore of Winslow, Arkansas; seven grandchildren Scott McDonald, Andrea Henson, Sammie Howerton and her husband Josh, Amanda Morris and her husband Ethan, Aimee Henson, Nicholas Henson and his wife Hailey, and Giovanna Oldguin; five great grandchildren Collin Howerton, Aiden Howerton, Harper Morris, Ruby McDonald and Lynn McDonald; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Rosary service will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springdale with Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Ganderville Cemetery in Summers, Arkansas.
