James "Shan" Edley Foster

79 a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away September 11, 2012 in Springdale. He was born February 5, 1933 in Olney, Texas, the son of Ben and Ada Brock Foster.

Shan served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he was a lifetime member of the American Legion in Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Nina Herd; two brothers, Tun Foster and Demp Foster.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Barbara Foster; one son, Shan "Jr" Foster and his fiance' Emy Bunnell of Rhea's Mill; one daughter, Mandy Foster of Prairie Grove and her fiancé' Jeff Roberts; one granddaughter, Taylor Foster, one sister-in-law, Anita Foster of Lubbock, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 - 2:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with burial in Wedington Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Tommy Pergeson, Doug DeVault, Ray Boatright, Scott Gragg, John Gragg, and Jeff Roberts.

Taylor, I lost both of my grandfathers the same week as you and I feel very sad that you also lost such a wonderful person in your life.
