William Leon Phillips
Age 78, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born November 2, 1944 in Hogeye, Arkansas, the son of Lloyd and Millie (Pense) Phillips.
Leon operated a dump truck for many years and was known by his handle of "Deputy Dawg". He enjoyed working on Hot Rod cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Donnie Phillips and Bob Phillips; one sister Margie Phillips.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Violet Phillips; two sons Roy Phillips and wife Lorrie, and Clinton Phillips and wife Dianna; three brothers Gary Phillips, Dwight Phillips, and Junior Phillips; two sisters Debbie Hudson and husband Carroll, and Sue Vickery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 13th, 2023, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Howell Cemetery in Hogeye, Arkansas, there will be no graveside services held.
