Robert Wells Brockman

76 a lifetime resident of Prairie Grove, went to be with his Lord on June 7, 2016 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born July 30, 1939 in Prairie Grove, the son of Wells Wilburn and Mary Ellen Wilson Brockman.

Robert was a member of the New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Norma Brockman.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Maddan and husband Greg of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two sons, Michael and Mark Brockman both of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one sister Lorene Vickery and husband L.V. of Prairie Grove; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral Service will be held Friday June 10, 2016 2:00 P.M. at New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery, There will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.

Children, you Dad and Grandad was a special person to me and all that worked with him over the years. He was honest beyond any shadow of doubt. He was fun to be around. He was dedicated and a hard worker. I never met anyone that didn't have good things to say about Robert.

The good news during this time of sadness for all of us is, all of us who are saved by the Grace of our Lord will see him one day again.

Sorry Greatly Sorry for your Loss. We sat across the aisle in Church from Robert and his wife. Heaven gained a great man. Never met him out on Public and he made you feel as though you had known him forever.
