Ted Vernon Lankford, 76, a resident of Evansville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026 in Evansville, Arkansas. He was born December 2, 1949 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Vernon John and Martha Lucille (Pense) Lankford.
Ted liked motorcycles, watching the Razorbacks, going on trail-rides, traveling, eating desserts and spoiling grandkids. Not sure which he loved more: grandkids or desserts.
Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lesa Lankford, and one brother Johnny Lankford, and son-in-law Steve Smith.
He is survived by four children, Clint Lankford (Angela) of Evansville, AR, Kelly Lankford, Lorree Crowder (Jeff), and Charlene Smith West (Jason). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren: Kyra, Jason, Samantha, Brittany, Brandy, Breanna, Brooke, Dustin, J.J., Dezarree, Daniel, Jessica, Jennifer, Alicia, JoAnne, Josh, and Kevin. There are also numerous nephews, nieces, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Tommy Lankford.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 19, 2026, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 20th, 2026, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Dutch Mills Cemetery in Lincoln, Arkansas.
