Obituary

William "Bill" Calvin Barton, 96, was born May 14, 1924 in Gracemont, Oklahoma to parents Frank and Frances Barton. He passed away at The Living Center in Enid, Oklahoma on December 12, 2020 after a short battle with Covid-19.

Bill was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and friend. Bill spent Thirty years in San Diego as a fine finish carpenter, avid dune buggy and desert enthusiast and car race fan. When he retired from carpentry in Ohio, he realized his life long dream becoming a cattle farmer in Northwest Arkansas. He was a member of the Southwest Carpenters Union and a longtime member of the Gideon's International. He loved distributing bibles whenever he had the chance. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church of Dutch Mills, Arkansas where he served as a Usher and in the bus ministry.

He is preceded in death by his wife Billie Barton of twenty four years, his parents Frank and Frances Barton, one son Stanley William Barton, three sisters Violet Pritchett, Bernice Compton, Helen Trotter, one brother Homer Barton and one son-in-law Robert Williams.

Survivors include two daughters Sharon Williams of Ramona, California, and Perri Roberts and her husband Monte of El Cajon, California; one daughter-in-law Susan Barton, Seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild..

In his last years, he was lovingly cared for by his step-daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Roger Eversoll of Dutch Mills. He is loved and missed by all.

Viewing will be Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Friday, December 18, 2020 - 2:00 p.m. at Dutch Mills Cemetery Pavilion in Dutch Mills, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gideons International P.O. Box 641 Prairie Grove, Arkansas 72753.
