Sharon Kay Yates
Age 77, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born July 6, 1946 in Willow Springs, Missouri, the daughter of George and Ruby (Powers) Kentner.
Sharon retired from Campbell Soup.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Wanda Chowning and Kathryn York, one granddaughter Kaylene Jetton, and one great grandchild.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years Harold Yates; two children Harold Yates Jr. and wife Melinda, and Karon Lamproe and husband Randy; three brothers Junior Kentner and his wife Brenda, Ronnie Kentner and his wife Glenda, and Wayne Kentner; three sisters Joyce Smith, Gladys Stapp, and Christine Allen; three grandsons Kevin, Denver and Carson Yates; two granddaughters Malea Easter and Randa Lamproe; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 - 2:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held.
