Bessie L Remington
Age 89, a long time resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023 at her home. She was born December 26, 1933 in Onda Mountain, Arkansas, the daughter of James S and Effie C (Ledford) Wood.
A long time resident of Prairie Grove, AR preceded in death by her husband Stanley Wayne Remington, son-in-law Joe Velten; brother Melvin J Wood, sisters Nola Mae Barnes, Sally Leora Ostrom and twin sister Jessie Joyce Robinson, and one adopted brother James Eddy Wood.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Wayne Remington and wife Debbie, One daughter Brenda Lucille Velten, one brother Thurman Wood, five grandchildren Charlie Daniels of Elkins, Dennis Daniels, Amanda Velten, Marcressa Hattenhauer, and Kimberly Rose all of Prairie Grove; three step grandchildren Kary Reed and Frankie Reed both of Prairie Grove, and Chantal Redden of Van Buren; nineteen great grandchildren; twenty two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and many many wonderful friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 26, 2023, 6:00-7:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside service.
