At rest at Prairie Grove Cemetery
Obituary

Charlene “Charlie” Dick, 76, a longtime resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born March 19, 1949, in Sterling, Kansas, the daughter of Carl and Violet (Miller) Lohmann.

Charlie was well-known in the community for her talent, work ethic, and welcoming spirit. For many years she owned and operated Charlie’s Family Salon in Prairie Grove, where she built lasting friendships and touched countless lives. In 1989, she and her husband Fred embarked on a new adventure when they moved to Grand Lake, Colorado, where together they opened Grumpy’s Grill. A decade later, in 1999, they returned home to Prairie Grove and once again poured their hearts into a new venture—Charlie’s Old Locker Grill, creating another place where friends and families gathered.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Dick, and her parents, Carl and Violet Lohmann.

Charlie is survived by her two sons, William Dick and his wife Rita, and Gary Dick and his wife Tracy, all of Prairie Grove; her three grandchildren, Chandler Dick, Braxton Dick, and Finley Dick; and one great-grandson on the way, Hudson Dick. She is also survived by her brother Dennis Lohmann and his wife Vicki of Valley Center, Kansas, her sister-in-law Ruth Lange of Rotonda, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00-6:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025 - 2:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held.

William, Rita and family, I will always remember Charlie’s beautiful smile, and our brief conversation's at Dillon’s. Thank you William for your words at the memorial and confirming Charlie’s salvation just hours before her passing. What a blessing to know she is now at peace in His presence.

So many good memories of Charlie & the Dick family! They were such a central part of our neighborhood, something fun was always going on at their house, all the kids wanted to be there & Charlie & Fred always welcomed them . I easily remember her tan & in shorts or swimsuit & a big smile- she lived in her pool in the summer! she was such a fun person! A life well lived Charlie, Prayers for your family until you are together again!
